LESSON 7

    EVALUATION OF TECHNOLOGY LEARNING

This lesson focus on the traditional information absorption model of teaching, the teacher organizes and presents information to students-learners. He may use a variety of teaching resources to support lesson such as chalkboard, videotape, newspaper or magazine and photos. The presentation is followed by discussion and the giving of assignment. Among the assignments may be a research on a given topic. This teaching approach has proven successful for achieving learning outcomes following the lower end of Bloom’s Taxonomy: knowledge, comprehension, and application are concerned.
But a new challenge has arisen for today’s learners and this is not simply to achieve learning objectives but to encourage the development of students who can do more than receive, recall, recite and apply the knowledge they have acquired. Today, students are expected to be not only cognitive, but also flexible, analytically and creative. In this lesson, there are methods proposed by the use of computer-based as an integral support to higher thinking skills and creativity.

Higher Level Learning Outcomes

The traditional information absorption model of teaching, the teacher organizes and presents information to student-learners. It is said that He or she may use variety of teaching resources to support lesson such as the chalkboard, videotape, newspaper/ magazine and photos. Presentation is then followed by discussion and giving of assignment. The lesson had also discussed the higher level outcomes, the complex thinking skills as well as their sub-skills. The process of project implementation takes the students to the steps, efforts and experiences in project completion. Meanwhile, thus principle to be borne in mind is that the process is more important than product.

During our education subjects we encountered various learning method in order to achieved an outcomes-based for the students. And we encountered or use the variety of teaching resources to support the lesson. We used video clip, chalk board, books and other learning materials.

Teachers can highly reflect with this Edgar Dale cone of learning experience for them to know what to do inside the classroom since it is teachers who use learning resources most of the time for his or her students.
As a future educator, being aware of the complex thinking skills of the students and organize all possible learning materials to maximize student’s excessive learning.

LESSON 9

Lesson 9 : Computers as Information and Communication Technology
Computer assisted instruction (CAI) was introduced using the principle of individualized learning through a positive climate that includes realism and appeal with drill exercise that uses color, music and animation. The novelty of CAI has not waned to this offered by computer-equipped private schools. But the evolving pace of innovation in today’s Information Age is so dynamic that within the first decade of the 21st century, computer technology in education has matured to transform into an educative information and communication technology (I in education.
The Personal Computer (PC)

Until the nineties, it was still possible to distinguish between instructional media and the educational communication media. Instructional media consist of audio-visual aids that served to enhance and enrich the teaching-learning process. Examples are the blackboard, photo, film, and video. On the other hand, educational communication media comprise the media communication to audiences including learners using the print, film radio, and television or satellite means of communication.  For example, distance learning were implemented using correspondence, radio, television or the computer satellite system. Close to the turn of the 21st century however, such a distinction merge owing to the advert of the microprocessor, also known as the personal computer (PC). This is due to the fact that the PC user at home, office and school has before him a tool for both audio-visual creations and media communication.
this are some of the feature of a computer that is very helpful in the field of education in integrating into effective instruction.
Microsoft Office - program for composing text, graphics, photos into letters, articles, report, etc.
Power point - for preparing lecture presentations.
Excel - for spreadsheets and similar graphic sheets.
Internet Explorer - access to the internet.
Yahoo or Google - websites; e-mail, chat rooms, blog sites, news service (print/video) educational software etc.
Adobe Reader - graphs/photo composition and editing.
- mail/chat messaging
Windows media player - CD, VCR player, editing film/video
Cyber Power - DVD player
Game house - video games

Through computer the works become easier and recyclable by saving in your hard drives.

This innovation of technology has brought to education is insurmountable given the fact that communication and information just came rushing within a wink. The advantages are huge in number but like any other valuable things in this world, computers have also disadvantages which happen we neglect and use it wrongly. Teachers have a responsibility of inculcating the ethics in using the technology as well as how to use them. When they are taught from a person who came from an  thinking then there is a possibility that the learner would use computers in the wrong way. although miss manage by both parents as well as the teacher student may find addicted to some of the un educational feature that a computer has.
in the future the computer for me is the best tool that i can used for the better instruction that also lessen my works but it gives a good learning to the students.
